Open a current Account or avail of a student loan to be in with a chance to win a €1000.

All students who have opened a current account or taken out a student loan with Synergy Credit Union will be automatically entered into a free draw with a prize fund of €1,500.  Every eligible member will automatically be entered into the raffle and the lucky winner will be awarded a €1000 cash prize and the second and third drawn names will receive €300 and €200 respectively. Parental Loans:

A parent or guardian can apply for a personal loan for the purpose of assisting you with your studies but you should think about applying in your own name to build up a credit record.

Important Information:

In order to open a Student Current Account and avail of a fee concession, you must be aged 12 - 25 years, resident in the Republic of Ireland and in full time third-level education. If you are 12 to 17 years of age, we require the consent of your parent or guardian for you to open an account. Fees and charges apply for using your Debit Card for purchases and cash withdrawals in a foreign currency. Terms and Conditions apply. For overdrafts and loans, you must be 18 years or older. Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. A parental/guardian guarantee may be required.

Eligibility Criteria for the Student Draw 2024: 

To be eligible for the draw you must be a full time student  and been approved and issued an Educational Loan of more than €1,000 or who have opened a Current Account between 1st January 2023 to 30th September 2024.

All students who are eligible will be automatically entered into the draw.

• The course must be CAO or QQI approved and full-time.
• The decision of the Board of Directors is final.
• The draw will take place in the first week of October.
• The winning students will be contacted to see if they want to accept the prize.
• If the winning student does not accept the prize the second drawn student will move into first place and another student will be drawn for third place.
• The winning students must attend at the presentation of the cheque.
• The winning students must consent to their name and picture being used on our website or social media pages and local press.
