Cork Senior Hurler Niall O’Leary Is Our New Ambassador
Synergy Credit Union is happy to announce that Cork senior hurler, Niall O’Leary, has been named as the 2024 Synergy Credit Union Ambassador. Marking a partnership for two of the country’s biggest voluntary organisations, the Credit Union and the GAA.
This is the first time that Synergy Credit Union has held an ambassador partnership and Niall was an obvious fit. "Every young person now wants to play for their county and represent their community on some level and Niall is a great example of this," says CEO of Synergy Credit Union Martina Cotter. “Niall is such a positive and popular role model, especially with the younger generation, we are delighted to have him on board.”
Niall, who is from Castlelyons, recently led his club to the All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championships final. He is also expected to play a starring role on the Cork panel for the senior hurling championship.
"It's great to get involved with the Credit Union here locally in Fermoy. They give great support to the community," says Niall.
"I think some of the new things they're bringing forward can really help young people, particularly young people who might be saving for a car or going for insurance and the like. So I would definitely encourage young people to get involved with Synergy Credit Union.”
At Synergy Credit Union we have launched a host of advancements in recent years aimed at modernising our offerings including our mobile app, online banking and open banking. We also offer current accounts and a variety of loan options including student and car loans.
