Member Notice: SEPA Payment Delays May 1st, 2025 - Plan Ahead

Please be aware that Thursday, May 1st, 2025 is the annual European May Day holiday.

Although this is a normal working day in Ireland, all banks across Europe—including the European Central Bank, which operates the banking settlement system—will be closed.

As a result, EURO electronic payments cannot be processed on this date, either within Ireland or across Europe. If you're expecting a payment into your account on May 1st, you may not receive it until Friday, May 2nd.

To avoid delays:

• We advise submitting payments by Tuesday, April 29th to ensure they are received by Wednesday, April 30th.
