Host a Sustainable Energy Night in Your Community
We want your Community Group or Organisation to Host a Sustainable Energy Night
Synergy Credit Union (Synergy CU) & the SEAI Synergy Sustainable Energy Community programme (SEAI SEC) are seeking interested communities & groups to host a Community Energy Night in their locality with an information session from the SEAI Energy Mentor.
This network will strive to work collaboratively to support the communities & individuals in the Synergy Credit Union catchment area to have warmer, healthier & greener homes, community buildings, facilities & communities.
We would love your organisation host a Community Energy Night in your locality with an information session from the SEAI Energy Mentor.
What can you expect from a Community Energy Night?
The SEAI Energy Mentor for Cork County will present information on the following.
- Information on the Sustainable Energy Communities programme.
- Examples of actions a community can do to support action in this space.
- Information and Support on the available SEAI grants.
- Guidance to your specific question on the SEAI grants.
- Guidance to your specific questions on retrofitting and upgrades.
- Information on the Warmer House Scheme (Free Energy Upgrades).
- Information on specific energy measures & upgrades.
- Financial supports available to support your energy upgrades.
What will my community get if I join the Sustainable Energy Community Network?
In addition to the general programme supports presented on the night, any community or group joining the network will be supported to do the following:
- Full funded Energy Master Plan (€15k -25K).
- Community Warmer House Scheme (free energy upgrades) eligibility check & application support.
- Support for community developments & upgrade planning in this space.
- Support & guidance for community developments & upgrade funding in this space.
- Community member home upgrade support and guidance.
- Support for Meitheals (group buy scheme) locally or within the large Synergy CU SEC Network.
- Support & guidance for community specific energy and environmental initiatives.
What type of group can host and Community Energy Night and join this network?
Any collective that represents a portion or the whole community they live in can host a community energy night & join this network. Some examples are;
- Community Councils & Associations
- Residents & Development Associations.
- GAA Clubs
- Tidy Towns
- Men & Women sheds.
- Any community group/ collective
