The Future is…

Synergy Credit Union is delighted to launch the 2025 Credit Union Art Competition, one of Ireland’s longest-running and most inclusive creative initiatives. Each year, thousands of budding artists of all ages take part, and we’re proud to encourage creativity and imagination in our local community.

This year’s theme is:

🎨 “The Future is…”

The competition invites participants to explore their ideas about the future – whether that’s personal dreams, hopes for their community, or visions for a better world. Through drawing or painting, artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own unique way.

Who can take part?

The competition is open to people of all ages across the following categories:

• 7 years and under
• 8–10 years inclusive
• 11–13 years inclusive
• 14–17 years inclusive
• Additional Needs Category (all age groups)

Important details

• All entries must be A3 or A2 in size
• Entries must be in landscape orientation (portrait entries cannot be accepted)
• Each entry must have a fully completed entry form securely attached to the back

📌 Closing date for entries at Synergy Credit Union level is Friday, 17th October 2025.

Local winners will progress to the Chapter (regional) stage, and from there to the National Final. National winners not only receive prizes but may also have their artwork featured in the annual Credit Union Calendar – a fantastic opportunity to showcase their creativity.

A celebration of creativity

The Credit Union Art Competition has been running for over 40 years and continues to inspire creativity, self-expression, and imagination at a local, regional, and national level. It’s not about artistic perfection – it’s about sharing ideas, colour, and inspiration through art.

We can’t wait to see the creativity from our local community again this year. So sharpen those pencils, uncap those markers, and get painting – because the future is… whatever you imagine it to be!
